Tara Zuluaga Dorgan has a deep passion for natural health that has been developing since her childhood. She was blessed to grow up in a nurturing family who encouraged her to see the world through her own eyes, question what we may perceive to be truth and pursue what is real. Tara was born in Seattle, Washington spending her early days running through the woods and learning about the natural world. Her family later moved to the beautiful Chelan Valley in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. The rural lifestyle was ideal for fostering family values and dreams for the future. Each summer the garden overflowed with juicy tomatoes, snap peas free for the picking and basil plants bigger than you have ever seen. She spent many years as her mother’s apprentice in the kitchen, creating masterpieces that not only satisfied the taste buds, but nourished the body and soul. Her love for the natural world and culinary arts sparked her curiosity of how food affects our state of health.

After watching loved ones struggle with their health, mentally and physically, Tara decided she needed to seek answers from a different perspective. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University in a Holistic Approach to Health, Community and Applied Ecology. Her degree focused on core health and ecological sciences as well as looking specifically at healing through herbal medicine, whole food nutrition and eastern philosophies. She also focused on environmental health and the ways in which humans can live more sustainably in our surrounding world.

Bobby McLeod said it well,
To heal ourselves we must heal our planet, and to heal our planet we must heal ourselves.

Tara has gained valuable experience in the field working with Herbalists, Nurses, Oncologists, Naturopathic Doctors, Acupuncturists, Wild Crafters, Chefs, and in Natural Pharmacies. She enjoys travel and always seeks new ideas and perspectives from the people she meets and the cultures she encounters along the way. While exploring Australia she fell in love with an Irish man. She followed him back to the Emerald Isle where she has spent the past 15 years living with her husband and two young sons. Tara earned her diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Cork in 2013 and continues to study and keep on top of the latest research in the ever-changing health field. She believes that food can be ones medicine and trusts that using nutrition as a tool strengthens the client’s innate response to heal, leading to an ultimate state of wellness. Tara is passionate about helping her clients achieve optimal health.

Tara currently resides in Manson, WA, USA but supports clients online from all over the globe as well as in person from ‘Lakeside Wellness’ in Chelan, WA.  She is a member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners.
